Akfa

Akfa The project Aktive Betriebsoptimierung für Fahrzeugflotten aims to reduce costs and risks of various larger logistics and fleet companies in Austria. Among other things, many body damages are caused by reversing too fast, as well as increase in wear on the engine and drive train. Furthermore, the tire wear, as well as the fuel consumption of the fleet overall is also above average. A system is to be researched and developed which enables a fleet operator to continuously adjust and adapt individual driving profiles. Specially installed electronics continuously measure and/or read data from the vehicle, which is dynamically evaluated to calculate a driving profile that actively modifies the vehicle's performance in such a way that environmentally friendly, cost-saving driving is achieved.

EDEN – Emergency Detection for Elevator Networks

EDEN – Emergency Detection for Elevator Networks The aim of the EDEN project is to use sensors and cameras to automatically detect emergencies in elevators, evaluate them in order to put them into context and take appropriate action. Based on the identified context, the system decides which persons need to be informed and which next steps should be done. For example, emergencies in private homes must be treated differently than those in public institutions or in security-related buildings such as airports. The planned developments should create a safe environment, as well as to help people with fears of elevators.

i2f – Interface2Face Mixreality Game

i2f – Interface2Face Mixreality Game In this project, classical boardgames are extended using mixed reality technologies, allowing multiple players to interact with real and virtual elements simultaneously. Different boardgame components, like dice, the board and figures are improved with AR-technology, communication sensors and software to provide a unique, surprising and thrilling game for up to 4 different players. Said technology also allows further improvements later on during development. In this project, the requirements for such a system are evaluated, a conecpt is designed and a prototyp for testing the system is developed.

Kimiku – AI-based Modelling and Interactive Visualization of Customer Loyalty Factors for SMB The goal of the KIMIKU project is to enhance the customer loyalty system developed by the project partner hello again through the use of AI-supported modeling, data analysis and evaluation in such a way that vouchers and other special offers, as well as reminders, can be automatically generated and individually tailored to each end user. A special focus is to combine anonymized user data collected in different companies in order to achieve even more reliable analysis results. Results of the data processing steps and suggestions of the AI system are to be graphically prepared and made available via a web-based dashboard in an easily understandable manner.

PASS – Plan Analysis using Self-learning Solutions The project PASS encompasses methods and technologies to develop a system that enables automated transformations from hand- or machine-drawn 2D construction plans into a 3D model with a special focus on simulations and analyses on that model. Research topics include classification and modeltransformation to generate data that enables simulations and calculations for the Building Information Modeling (BIM) sector.

REPO – Radiology E-health PlatfOrm

REPO – Radiology E-health PlatfOrm Goal of this project is the development of a radiology system over all facilites using the austrian e-health-infrastructure. The radiology workflow, which was identified in a previous project (WIRE), should be extended by collaborative elements. Starting from the diagnosis via dictation up to the feedback-mechanism at the end of the radiology workflow, e-health-applications for improving the process and quality are planned. With this, the collaboration of radiologist, as well as other relevant healthcare facilites, should be improved.

TrueSize

TrueSize The project TrueSize aims the goal of body measurement with mobile devices. For example, videos of people are created using smartphones and, as a result, three-dimensional information is extracted. The 3D models created in this way can subsequently be used, for example, to improve clothing sizes, which are currently only updated very sporadically and, moreover, are not standardized. Through this development, users (producers, distributors, ...) would have access to up-to-date measurement tables, could monitor and respond to global changes.

Voigas Apro Kassensysteme GmbH is a company in the field of gastronomy that, in addition to classic POS systems for the catering industry, also provides apps and digital solutions for restaurant businesses. The app already depicts restaurant processes, or supports and supplements them. For example, an app order will be placed in the restaurant e.g. to the bar (with drinks) or to the kitchen (with food) led. In cooperation with RG AIST, Apro POS Systems now wants to expand the existing app solution by adding intelligent suggestion possibilities. This suggestion system should be usable for both the restaurateur and the restaurant customer. Both customer groups - restaurateurs and guest user data are to be collected and processed using techniques and algorithms from the field of data analytics. The user data should therefore result in behavioral profiles.
