Difficult farewell

It is with a heavy heart that we have to say goodbye to two long-time colleagues in the AIST research group as of the beginning of March. Both Emmanuel Helm and Andreas Schuler will pursue new paths at the Austrian Electronic Health Record (ELGA) in the future. Saying goodbye to colleagues is always an emotional affair. We have experienced and achieved a lot together in the past years. Both Emmanuel and Andreas have contributed significantly to the success and existence of the research group for more than 10 years each. We have fond memories of our joint projects and successes and will not forget them in the future. We would like to take this opportunity to thank both of them for their work and commitment and wish them all the best and much success for their future careers.

But where some people stop, others start. Therefore we would like to dedicate this article to joyful news: Namely, Lisa-Maria Freller will actively support us as a new colleague with March in the research group. In addition, as in previous years, we are pleased to welcome two Belgian exchange students, Mimoun El Asri and Norbert Stefanski, to our research group during the summer semester.
