The IMCEC 2016 (IEEE Advanced Information Management, Communicates, Electronic and Automation Control Conference) occured from the 3rd to the 5th of october in Xi’an, China. Oliver Krauss and Daniel Wilfing attended this conference to present their papers, which have been created during the development of the project ARISE.
Oliver Krauss presented his paper „Heuristics for Job Shop Scheduling with Volatile Machine Constraints“. In this paper, he evaluates and compares different heuristics for solving job shop scheduling problems.
Daniel Wilfing presented a paper about the simulator created in ARISE, called „Elevator Simulation for Testing Advertisement Scheduling Systems“. He describes a simulationsystem for evaluating different test scenarios, which can be used instead of the real system.
With his work, Oliver Krauss was able to convince the jury and he managed to win the “Best Paper Award”. We congratulate him for his outstanding work!
