MIE2026

Our colleagues Selina Adlberger and Natasha Trajkovska attended this year’s Medical Informatics Europe (MIE) conference in Genova, Italy, where they presented recent work from our research group.

Selina presented “Leveraging Synthetic Patient Data for Process Mining in Healthcare”, a contribution developed as part of our PICA project. The work explores how synthetic patient data can support process mining in healthcare while addressing challenges related to data availability, privacy, and reproducibility.

Natasha presented the pipeline “Process Mining on FHIR AuditEvents: Conformance Checking with a Standard Operating Procedure for Chest Pain”, implemented as part of the Treetop Medical project. Her presentation showed how FHIR AuditEvents can be used for process mining and conformance checking against a clinical standard operating procedure.

Together, both contributions highlight our group’s research on data-driven methods for analysing and improving healthcare processes.

Congratulations to Selina and Natasha on presenting their work at MIE 2026!
