From March 9 to March 11, 2026, Christoph attended this year’s GRIVAPP Conference 2026 in Marbella, Spain. During the conference, he presented his current research titled “Evaluation of Novel View Synthesis in the Context of Radiometric Drone Imagery.”
In this work, he and his colleagues investigated how modern neural rendering approaches such as NeRF and 3D Gaussian Splatting perform on radiometric drone imagery. A particular highlight of the conference was the paper being honored with the Best Student Paper Award. The foundation for this work was laid as part of Sebastian Schoibesberger’s master’s thesis—congratulations on this outstanding achievement!
