A crucial factor in high-performance sports is the ability to consistently repeat complex movement patterns at all times. In football, for example, it is essential to execute shots at the same angle and speed to reliably score goals, particularly in penalty situations. The Ball Tracking project aims to support athletes in training such repeatability by using cameras to record factors such as the trajectory and speed of the ball. By comparing these recordings, it can then be quantified how closely subsequent actions resemble each other, ultimately helping to make training more efficient.
