Early detection of infected carcasses in forested areas is crucial to mitigate the spread of the disease. &#8222;Project Wildboar &#8211; Adapting a digital nose for the detection of volatile organic compounds to locate wild boar carcasses in forests&#8220; builds upon the findings of the <a href=\"https:\/\/pure.fh-ooe.at\/en\/projects\/diginase-development-of-a-digital-nose-for-early-detection-of-tre\">DigitalNose<\/a> project, adapting its technology for detecting volatile organic compounds (VOCs) released during the decomposition of wild boar carcasses.
